Spinifex Senior College Oval Upgrade

We were engaged by Queensland Education to design and construct oval upgrades to rectify issues of oval being over run and overgrown weeds, soil lacked quality to be able to aid in grass growth earth works to regrade and direct water off oval – no pooling, install running tracks with a full-size rugby field and 400m running track around it.

Strip existing media and remove offsite, upgrade soil through soil testing, applying additional ameliorant such as compost, sand, fertilisers additionally new irrigation system was installed with a fertigation system, new football posts, new swale to southern end to divert water away from the school to divert to local storm water system.

Project Works

Site inspection and design process we determined by utilising megaflow drainage system  and top dressing low areas we were able to save the client money by not needing complete major earthworks to the oval. To complete the project the sports field was cored by verti drain and top dressed and fertilised to create a perfect playing field.
